Children, Incorporated is partnering with OneSight to provide free eye exams and glasses for children in Richmond, Va. Inner city students in Richmond face many challenges in achieving an education. An inability to see the chalkboard should not be one of them. All of the children we serve are on the federal free and reduced lunch program and most are reliant on Medicaid. We are working in conjunction with several community partners to help raise awareness on the importance of good vision to the overall positive educational experience of a child.
This program enables us to serve more than 1,000 children each year by providing them with thorough screenings and exams along with eyeglasses that fit their individual styles and needs.
