About our volunteer coordinators

We at Children, Incorporated work with an amazing group of Program Coordinators. These talented, dedicated and selfless volunteers administer Children, Incorporated programs around the world. They are charged with many tasks, both as a result of being employed by the schools, orphanages or centers in which they work and as volunteer coordinators for our program. Without these volunteers, letters from sponsors would not be delivered, gifts would not find their way to intended recipients and our sponsors and children would likely never know of each other. They are a vital link in the sponsorship chain. Can you tell that we really love our program coordinators?

Program Coordinator Highlights

Foreign Division:
Peter De Silva of Dadella Children’s Center in Galle, Sri Lanka. Mr. De Silva has worked tirelessly in coordinating the building of over 10 houses for families left homeless by the Tsunami of 2004. All construction has been completed, giving the families of our CI children a place to call their very own.

Latin American Division:
Cruz del Consuelo Gongora Lopez from Niños Apostolicos in Cancun, Mexico. She does a wonderful job at keeping sponsors informed via progress reports, pictures and letters. Cruz has been with us since the spring of 2002.

American Indian Division:
Nancy Bartasavich of Tohajillee School in New Mexico. There are 44 children in the CI program under Nancy. She manages to keep up with her regular duties at the school and still devotes time to the needs of the children and CI sponsors.

Appalachian Division:
Connie Sargent of Wolfe County, Kentucky. Connie is the administrative assistant for the Family Resource Youth Services Center in Wolfe County. Thanks in large part to Connie, CI now operates at all five schools in the county. We are very fortunate to have her.

Inner City Division:
Marilyn Council of Summer Hill-Ruffin Road Elementary in Virginia. Marilyn oversees the CI program for 28 children and carries a special place in heart for each child.
