American Indian Division
Established in New Mexico in 1971, the American Indian Division has
expanded to over 40 projects within a network of public schools on and off American Indian reservations. The
children live primarily in remote regions of the American west, and come from both the Navajo &
Oglala Sioux nations. Social problems such as alcoholism and drug abuse plague
many of the communities.
